Scott Moreno completes a South American leg of Around-the-World Relay

Scott Moreno, who some may remember from speaking at a 49er Rally a few years back just completed Scott Morenoa 5000km (3000mile) leg of BMW's Around-The-World Relay. His route was from Bogotá to Quito and included 500km off road and altitudes well above 2600km (8000 feet). He reports the R1200 road perfectly the entire route with no problems. See photo album.

Scott was chosen as part of an elite group of riders in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of BMW's GS model. Four of BMW Motorrad's new R 1200 GS Adventure machines crossed five continents and are traveling over 100,000 kilometers.

Scott operates a Spain based motorcycle touring company in Madrid and may be reached at  his US phone 415-992-5397 or through IMTBike

Lastly I got this interesting web request today:
Hi, I work for a sports marketing company in San Diego that manages the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in San Jose on Sunday, October 8th.  We’ll be bringing in a camera crew for the event, and we’re looking to hire 6 motorcycle drivers to take our camera guys around on the course that morning.  I came across your website and am hoping you might know some folks who’d like to be involved as drivers for our TV crew.  We prefer to use fairly quiet bikes that handle well at slow speeds, and the rate for the morning (working approx. 7am-noon) is $250.
