The registration form for the May 25-28 49er Rally in Auburn is now online.
A route plan and maps are posted for this month's meeting at Pinnacles Monument.
The starting point is the Franklin Street Cafe in Redwood City at 9:00am. The restaurant opens at 7:30 am. It is located at 1053 El Camino Real @ Jefferson next to the Starbucks, in Sequoia Station Plaza.
Note: The restaurant is between the Starbucks and the Safeway set back off the parking lot at the shopping center.
Greg Frazier confirmed as a speaker for Sat. and Sun.(May 26-27). He will give a presentation about his 3 or 4 round-the-world trips and some of the exotic tours he leads now.
Also Phil Douglas from Aftershocks for Sat. or Sun. Phil will put on a seminar about bike suspensions and how to improve, adjust, diagnose your ride. Aftershocks is one of the premier suspension experts in the country.

This is going out to all who might still be on the fence over the timing or cost of the trip. IF you decide after looking over the intinarary, the pricing, and consider where we're going, that maybe this is something you can/should do, let me know before next Monday so we can add more rooms/bikes while we have a window.
Based on the confirmed people who are going, the operator has advised they have 2 x BMW F650 GS’s and 2 BMW F 650 GS Dakar available.
They booked 2 of each type in case you are interested
I have booked the BMW R 1200 = 1 bike
The operator still has a BMW 1200 GS available please advice if this is an option. Let me know which bike you want/need QUICKLY so we can get it lined up.

Saddle bags and a top case are $50 extra.
Because this is less than 10 people, it will not be economical to have a van to haul the luggage. If we did, it would cost each person about another $1K+. I have some contacts in NZ so I'm working on getting a local BMW person to lead/advise on what to see/do/try over the 2 weeks.

Tour Captain Warren has reserved group site #17 at Pinnacles Campground for the January 27th meeting. He plans to lead a short ride, then do a hike in the park (weather permitting). Check in as early as noon and set up camp before the hike.
