May 13 Second Sunday Breakfast at Woodside

Lee advise's this month's Second Sunday Breakfast will be at Buck’s of Woodside
3062 Woodside Rd
Woodside, CA 94062
650-851-8010
For an after breakfast ride - go up Kings Mtn, down Tunitas creek, up the coast, stop in Half Moon Bay for a break, back 92 and past the reservoir, up La Honda to end at Alices Rest for some socializing.  Short, less than 45 miles, but will take a little more than an hour plus break time.  Again:  casual pace, good twisties, nice views.Mayride

April 28 Club Meeting in Vineyard

April's Tour Details from Warren:

Mike Baldinelli and his wife have once again offered us the use of their vineyard as the site of this month’s meeting and camping. For those of you who missed out last April we had about 30 people who took up the offer for some home-style bar-b-q, wine tasting, and spacious camping in the vineyard. Everyone had a great time then, so it should be no surprise to have another good time this year.

Baldanelli’s Vineyard is located at 10880 Shenandoah Rd in Plymouth. This is a little north of where route 16 intersects route 49. Mike will put a big sign out by the driveway that will allow us to identify the exact location to turn off Shenandoah Rd. Mike has offered to provide a dinner which will include but may not be limited to salads, a mixed grill (chicken, sausage, and tri-tip steak) and wine tasting for $25 per person. This also includes fresh coffee and pastries available on Sunday morning before you head out. This will be some good food and several kinds of wine to taste. If you plan on eating the home cooking please RSVP to me ASAP so we know how much food to buy. You can call me at (703) 984-9019 or e-mail at tourcaptain@bmwnorcal.org . Also riders should plan ahead and bring along a bottle of your favorite wine or other drink to share.

The organized tour will leave at 8:00 a.m. sharp from Hubcaps Diner located at 1548 Bonanza St. in Walnut Creek, (925) 945-6960.

I just received word that long time Club member Pat Stoffey was fatally injured in a bike accident while riding in New Zealand.

Second Sunday Breakfast - Date Change for April

The Second Sunday Breakfast has been changed to April 15, 8:30am
Message from Lee:
Doug's Place, 20871 Redwood Rd, Castro Valley, CA 94546. Phone: 510-538-9155
It is back in the rear corner of a small shopping center on the west side of Redwood Road.

If the weather cooperates, I’m planning another short ride after we eat.  We’ll head over to Palomares Road and down to Niles Canyon, across to Vallecitos Road and up Isabel/Kitty Hawk past the Livermore Airport, then west thru the canyons and back Crow Canyon Road to Castro Valley.  The ride is 55-56 miles and will be a leisurely pace thru some very pretty areas.  We’ll be crossing 680 and 580 a couple times, so there are several places along the way to leave the ride and head South/East/North/West.
