Mammoth Lakes in June
The June Meeting location is Pine Glen Camground (Group Site #11), Mammoth Lakes, CA. Here's the approximate location. This is the annual club election meeting- arrangements are being made for dinner and will be posted when finalized.
What are the grounds like for camping? Grass? Dirt? Weeds? How many tables in the group area? How does this compare to what we had at Finnon lake?
Any answers appreciated...
thanks

Nice soft dirt with pine needles, in between the Jeffrey pines. Smells fabulous: pine and campfire smoke. Picnic tables, bear boxes for food storage. To get to it, take 203 west 2.8 from Hwy. 395 turn right on the Sawmill Cutoff Road, then turn right into the New Shady Rest campground and go all the way to the end. It's considered one of the nicest group sites in the Mammoth Lakes area.

Probably way nicer than Finnon Lake! But then I live here.
