Download 09-May-Point Reyes

May's Second Sunday Breakfast will meet in Novato and ride to Point Reyes. We'll meet for breakfast at Marvin’s in Novato on Sunday, May 10, 2009, 8:00 AM  (this place has great food and is popular so we need to get there early to get a group table)

Locaton:

Marvin's 1112 Grant Ave, Novato CA, 94945

After breakfast we’ll do a scenic loop over to the Point Reyes National Seashore and stop at the Bear Valley Visitors Center for a bio-break (restrooms available).

Depending on time, weather and group preference we’ll ride out to the light house, or maybe just to Limantour Beach (yes, we can ride –the shuttle season is over).  Then back over to Greenbrae where the ride will end at the Chevron station at 301 Sir Francis Drake Blvd.  We’ll gas up, say our farewells and head home from there.

Total distance is between ~40 and ~80 miles depending on what we decide.  Please have a full tank for when we depart Marvin’s, or at least enough to go 80-90 miles,  since there won’t be a gas stop until we get to Greenbrae.

Ride Wine Country - Second Sunday Breakfast Oct 12

Lee has setup the October 12th (8:30am) breakfast and ride from Pearl’s - an old fashion diner set back from the road in a small strip mall.  Some of the best omelets and pancakes around. We will have a table setup for us in the “motorcycle room” so get there on time to make sure you get a seat.

After breakfast we’ll follow the route of the MadMaps “No Whining in the Country” ride that goes north thru the wine country and back to Sonoma.  This is a great time of the year to see this part of the Bay Area.  The ride is about 70 miles so we’ll stop half-way in St. Helena for a break and should be back in Sonoma in less than 2 hours (before noon), plenty of time for you to try some of the events happening that day in and around Sonoma.
